Medical Provider General Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE MEDICAL SECOND OPINION CONSULTING SERVICE

  1. Introduction This is a contract between you (“the Requester”) and the Independent Medical Provider (“the Medical Provider”) for the provision of an online medical second opinion service (“the Service”).
  2. Eligibility To access our Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and be capable of entering into legally binding contracts. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must request the Service on your behalf. Suppose you are requesting the Service on behalf of another person (“the Patient”). In that case, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the necessary authorization from the Patient to share their medical information and for the Patient to receive the Service.
  3. The Service  The Service consists of a written report from a licensed Italian medical professional (“the Doctor”) providing a second opinion based on the medical information you provide.
  4. Information Accuracy You confirm that all information provided to us for the purpose of the Service is accurate and complete.
  5. No Primary Care The Service is intended to supplement, not replace, your relationship with the primary healthcare provider. The Doctors do not provide emergency medical services. If you believe you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
  6. Limitations The second opinion provided is based on the information supplied by you and is limited to the information available at the time of consultation. The second opinion does not guarantee diagnosis, treatment, or outcome. The report provided by the Service may not be considered a valid medical report in the User or Patient’s local healthcare system or by other healthcare providers.
  7. No Doctor-Patient Relationship The Service does not create a doctor-patient relationship between the Medical Provider’s Doctor and you. The Service is not intended to replace a face-to-face consultation with a healthcare provider.
  8. Privacy and Confidentiality We respect the privacy and Confidentiality of your information. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
  9. Payment by United Dots’s Vouchers Payment for the Service is exclusively made by United Dots’ Vouchers, which must be purchased and redeemed at the time the Service is requested. Each voucher is valid for one consultation.
  10. Refund Policy Due to the nature of the Service, once the second opinion has been delivered, no refunds are possible.
  11. Jurisdiction This agreement is governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement or our services will be resolved in Italy.
  12. Modifications We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. You agree to review these Terms and Conditions periodically to be aware of changes.

If you are not the Patient, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the necessary authorization from the Patient to share their personal information.
  2. Use of Personal Information We use personal information to provide the Service, respond to inquiries, for legal and compliance purposes, research, and train artificial intelligence applications. Data will be anonymized and aggregated for research or AI training to protect privacy.
  3. Disclosure of Personal Information We will not share personal information with third parties except as required by law or with healthcare professionals providing the Service.
  4. Protection of Personal Information We implement reasonable security measures to protect personal information, but we cannot guarantee complete security. You should safeguard the account information in your possession as well.
  5. Storage of Personal Information Personal information will be stored in secure, encrypted databases and retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service and as required by applicable law.
  6. Your Rights You and the Patient have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
